I was able to experience so many different cultures in such a short period of time not only among the locals but the different students on the trip with me. It was most definitely worth while.

Review Your Program

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Could not have had a better experience! |

* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
All of the hotels were very nice and close to the main attractions of the cities we visited. |
* Food: |
The food besides breakfast was on your own but the locations of the hotels put you very close to a number of food options that could be to anyones price range as well as liking. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I believe this is a personal preference. I really enjoyed immersing myself in the cultures, and I did my best to speak the languages. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
I had to carry my medicine with me throughout the trip and thankfully did not have any problems with it. |
* Safety: |
I felt very safe everywhere we went. We stuck to being in somewhat large groups and I had no run-ins with any suspicious scenarios. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
Again money management was different for every person, but I at no point had difficulty using my money wisely and I did a fair amount of shopping. I would say it was around a 3.5 for me around 75 euros a week. |
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | Around 75 euros but that was probably the highest I ever spent. |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Just be conscious of what you are spending, but it really was not that difficult. |
