Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
While school should be challenging, the work load felt like it was too much, the group spent many weekends writing essays rather than getting out to experience Greece. That said, the instructors were great, very qualified and passionate. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
|
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
My apartment was great! It was owned by a local family who also owned the bakery on the corner below us. They were incredibly kind to us. It was about a 20min walk from the school which wasn't a problem except when we had class in the morning and a long break until the evening because it limited our ability to explore or do anything during the day time. I felt safe but at night we walked in pairs. |
* Food: |
Up to the individual, meals were not provided. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
The excursions were awesome! My favorite memories are from some of the trips we went on. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
The ladies in the Athens center office were amazing! They took care of every health need we had. One girl had a serious injury and they took her to the doctors office every few days for a check up. They were also helpful in telling us which medicines to get which were similar to the ones we have at home. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
