Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Dublin is so amazing. It offers the perfect combination of living in the city and being able to go to the country within a couple of hours. This program was fantastic. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and my host family was simply amazing. The workload wasn't horrible, there was a lot of reading but that was because I enrolled in the Literature class. I didn't find any differences in the educational system between my host university and my home university, so that was nice. I highly recommend you go on this program. It was so amazing. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
|
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
So amazing!! I felt extremely safe, I could walk by myself at midnight and be completely OK with it. My host family was amazing, they went above and beyond to make sure we (my roommate and I) felt right at home. |
* Food: |
Delicious! My host mom made sure that we were satisfied with breakfast and dinner. I didn't have any dietary restrictions, but the quality/quantity was superb. I advise you to go to the grocery store and buy bread/lunch meat for lunch.. it is MUCH cheaper to do that instead of going out to lunch every day. Lunches aren't included in the program, so you're on your own for that. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Took many excursions to different places that were nice. You must go to a Dublin hurling or rugby game!! And go to the Guinness brewery too. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
A couple of students needed to go to the doctors and the staff handled it perfectly. They even personally took them to the clinic. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |

A Look Back
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | Go on this program! Any type of student that is willing to adapt to a new culture, and walk into this program with an open mind should take it!! The Irish are very laid back, so it's important to be prepared for that. |
