About

This Global Learning Semesters program is hosted by the School of Interior Design, Environmental Architecture and Sustainability (IDEAS) of the Florence University of the Arts, one of the most prestigious schools in Florence. Students will be able to choose from a wide variety of courses offered by the School. The program aspires to provide an educational environment that sustains the practices of design, planning, and management applied to the fields of architecture, sustainability, and historical preservation. The goal is to redefine and challenge the historical concept of the Renaissance through contemporary practices of design, architecture, and sustainability in a city where the past is is in everyday reality. The program further encourages the students to benefit from a multitude of learning experiences whether through contact with the rich backgrounds of our faculty, with fellow students, or interaction with the city and its people.

Students may opt for a non-credit or for-credit internship during the semester.

In addition to studying in Florence, students will travel to Rome, Siena, Venice and Verona.
