Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

They held an orientation for international students. They were more focused I felt on the students that would be there for a year or more.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

It was a single person dorm room. It was in a dorm with first year students.

It was right on campus so it was a good location.

* Food:

The food was good. It was like any other food service. It was more limited than what I am used to.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

We did things together as a group.

* Safety:

I did not have any health issues. I felt safe.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? I do not remember.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? The bus costs money. Food costs money. Almost anything other than tuition is extra.

Individual Course Reviews

Course Name/Rating:

Language and Social Institutions

Comments: Overall the course was good. I found it to be difficult because I did not have much background in sociology, and because I was in a foreign country. The way that it was taught was also different.
