Not a big fan of food in the UK in general. Stark contrast to what I'm familiar with, but I didn't select the program for food, to be fair. I did fall in love with a chain restaurant called Wasabi and scones and clotted cream are now apart of my weekly diet, |

You're with 20 other American students, so your access to socially engaging with other students is limited. Luckily you're at the middle of UK politics, so you understand what's happening in that sphere. |

How well were health issues addressed during the program? |

Please read the stuff about terrorism. Though London is typically a safe city, you should remember you're in one of the worlds major political capitals, working in government. While I believe the Westminster attack of 2017 was a peculiar incident, myself and other scholars were in the middle of it all, so please pay attention to safety advisements. |
| If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
There were bumps, there were learning curves, but all the while it was life changing. In 3 1/2 months I watched the Scottish Government gain traction for Independence, watched and worked for the Liberal Democrats gain traction in by elections, lived through and learned from the bad (including terrorist attacks and personal loses), and I've sat in the chamber as the Prime Minster of the U.K. Triggered Brexit. I lived through history and got to witness it 1st hand, thanks to Hansard. It wasn't easy , but it was worthwhile! |

The NetworkerAn active student leader, it was important for you to network abroad as well. Once overseas, you sought out student clubs, volunteered with local organizations, or attended community events.
