I got to know myself, and I felt the most independant that I've felt in a long time.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

More independence is required. There is considerably less advising from professors than in the US.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

You are responsible for making your own meals. Walk 2 Wok is delicious, and Stroopwafels are God's gift to the Earth.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Fieldtrips to Muirderslot and Pampus.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I felt very safe. There is very little violent crime in Amsterdam.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? You can never have enough money to devote to traveling.

I took a basic Dutch class. I didn't really learn anything helpful, but I picked up a few phrases here and there.
