What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I have gained a new appreciation for French culture, language, and inhabitants. I underestimated the level of language that I would acquire and am pleased to note my fluency as a result of the program.

The administration was very knowledgeable of Arles and the surrounding French Provence. I was amazed at the advising and educating that occurred during my time with IES Abroad Arles. Not only have I met friends and family that I will forever keep in touch with, but I have also developed a high regard for IES Abroad for allowing me to grow and develop in Arles, France.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

My host family was extremely accommodating and willing to get to know me and my culture. I felt a little nervous going into the program without having a clue who I was staying with, but the turnout was positive.

* Food:

I'm a picky eater. Anything was going to bug me, but the program director and administrators are always willing to help.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I spoke with fellow American students in French as well as communicating with my host family entirely in French.
