My host mother only spoke German and I only spoke English. But, it made for fascinating experience!

FOOD IN BERLIN IS AWESOME!

They took us to Auschwitz!

They really helped us understand the pharmacy system and how to utilize local doctors

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Don't buy clothes. Wait before you buy something. Don't waste money on food. Buy bottles of alcohol and drink in parks-- as opposed to wasting money at bars. Don't tip the way we do in America.
