IES Abroad: Dublin - Study Abroad With IES Abroad

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Overall, I felt a lot more independent when I left Ireland. I'd navigated foreign cities, made new friends, gotten to know Dublin and traveled a bit. I felt really refreshed and confident in my own capabilities. In terms of my internship experience, learned a lot about working on my own initiative. Irish work culture is different than American work culture, so I learned to do my best and self-initiate my work.

We bought a lot of groceries and cooked dinner at our house most nights instead of eating out. Pub food is expensive!

Reasons For Studying Abroad

To help future students find programs attended by like-minded individuals, please choose the profile that most closely represents you.
The Avid Adventurer
The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
