Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
IES Abroad Dublin offers a limited amount of courses, but they're packed with useful information and interesting topics. The professors are knowledgeable on their subjects and create a positive learning environment |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Admin was great. Everyone was eager to help us make the most of our time abroad. Staff was great about helping with any problems we had, including navigating the healthcare system. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Binary Hub has fantastic facilities. The walk from Binary Hub to the IES center was a bit far, but the walk was a nice way to get to know the city. |

|
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
The program offers programs to help integrate into local culture, however, it took extra effort to feel integrated. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
IES was great about helping make healthcare appointments and navigating insurance policies. |
* Safety: |
Of the capital cities in Europe, Dublin is one of the safest. After adjusting to the area, I felt confident and safe waking around the city center. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
IES is such a unique program that makes a potentially scary situation, like moving to a new country, very comfortable. |
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
Dublin is more expensive than one would expect. Groceries are not a major issue, but going out is a budget strain |
