What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Absolutely worthwhile. I learned things that I never expected about living in other parts of the world. Understanding other cultures and how similar the most different places are to home. I met people from all over the world and some just from Seattle. The people are the best part, the friends are unforgettable and have changed my life. The experiences were made special by the wonderful people I was surrounded by - though, I suspect they would have been just as awesome alone! My world has expanded and shrunk all at once. I plan to return to Freiburg and to continue adventuring beyond that!
