It was absolutely worthwhile. I gained world experience, lifelong friends, and a deep love and knowledge of a new city.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

My senora was amazing! She was so friendly and welcoming and I always felt at home. Plus, she was a great cook. IES made sure to place everyone in caring and nice households.

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

IES assigned us intercambios, which were Spanish university students who we got partnered up with to practice our Spanish, explore Granada, and just to have a friend in the city. Also, they had Spanish students come with us on every field trip, overnight or day, as well as any excursion so that we were integrated into the local culture and people.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

Free tapas in Granada and amazing and cheap schawarma made eating and living on a budget so good and really easy!
