What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I think the experience of living in a vibrant, global city like London has taught me how to enjoy the important aspects of life, as well as how to communicate and share ideas with people of a different culture.

  • Size of the rooms
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? You can buy a 16-25 youth railcard for 30 pounds that gives you a 1/3 discount on all train fares and Underground fares. I didn't find this out until late October, but it was still very useful because I saved 50 pounds on trips to Manchester and Liverpool alone.

The Nearly Native or Trail Blazer
Craving the most authentic experience possible, perhaps you lived with a host family or really got in good with the locals. You may have felt confined by your program requirements and group excursions. Instead, you'd have preferred to plan your own trips, even skipping class to conduct your own 'field work.'
