IES Abroad: London - Study London

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
The experience I had through IES is incomparable to anything I have previously done. I learned so much through not only classes but also personal development. I gained more self confidence, drive, lifelong friends, and a love for travel. I am extremely grateful for IES and IES staff for assisting me when meeting but allowing me to create my own personal, authentic student experience in London. I wish everyday that I could be back; forever grateful for this experience.

in a perfect location

* Food:

Who said English food was terrible? I never ate a bad thing my entire abroad experience.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I was never bored in London. Locals are easy to talk to and give great insight to what it is like being a young adult/student in the UK.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I went to the doctor a few times, and staff was very helpful in arranging appointments.

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

somewhat easy. I ate at home with cheap ingredients to try to stick to a budget, but going out in London and general living expenses are very high.
