There was a lot of construction taking place which was frustrating, but other than that, housing sufficed.

London food scene is spectacular

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I got involved with a church, and made friends at my place of employment

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I had no issues.

I felt very safe.

London is expensive.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? the amount of alcohol I purchased compared to my peers was the difference between me spending 3000 and 5000 on this trip.

  • housing (no construction/laundry was terrible)
  • the content of the coarse work was rather dry and uninteresting at times.
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish I knew more about my interests and passions and sought to indulge those while abroad.

The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
