What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained language skills, an understanding of local culture, a broader understanding of the world, travel experience, friends, and many learning experiences from my time abroad. I think that it was one of the most worthwhile things that I have ever done.

For the amount of time that I spent there, I felt as integrated as I could have been.

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I had to get a flu shot while abroad, and the program set up an appointment for me. It was very easy and convenient for me.

* Safety:

For being in a city, I felt very safe because IES prepared me for possible situations that could occur.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I felt that I had enough freedom to go out and experience things that I wanted to experience on my own, but, at the same time, I had many excellently coordinated trips and learning experiences that IES Abroad provided.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I now know that I can both handle and make the most of situations that are less than ideal especially when I have friends by my side. (i.e. missing a flight is not the end of the world)
