I discovered a lot about my personality and was able to sped my embarrassment when it came to making mistakes. I appreciate Hawaii and the US in a different way now. I feel like the world is so much bigger now.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
My French grammar class was taught in a way that I had never experienced before that catered to the students and our levels of language proficiency. The grading system was a bit harsh though. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
We would be chided for speaking in English. I felt like the administration was efficient and helpful. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I feel like I did more absorbing the language instead of speaking it with my host family. |
* Food: |
I just felt like I always had too much food piled onto my plate and I knew I couldn't be rude and not eat all of it. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
There were always things to do and organized events. Conversation club was fun. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
Once I was comfortable with the layout of the city and the public transportation I felt safe. I needed to learn some street smarts that I'd never needed to learn before. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? | None |
