Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Extremely easy."Women and Society in Northern Africa and beyond" class did not teach anything on women in other Maghreb countries which was extremely important to mention. The professor spent most of the time talking about the difference between American and European culture and telling a guy that he was "handsome" and joking with him. She also spent a whole week on Moroccan dresses. What should have been mentioned was the situation with Algerian women or the rights Tunisian women have. The Arabic placement exam is a joke. They will place you either in a class that is too advanced or too behind. |

A Look Back
* What did you like most about the program? |
|
* What could be improved? |
|
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | Check into other Morocco programs and if you do chose this program be sure to speak up for the problems you have and if you want to learn anything don't stay in your shell. Don't insult the locals...don't go there to just drink beer and smoke hashish and stick with American students the whole time because many students have done this and it is very disrespectful to local culture. |
