I had to go to the hospital a few times when I got sick, and I was well taken care of in terms of IES staff, insurance, hospital facilities, and doctors. |

Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
You only ever needed to pay for food if you wanted to go out to eat. All meals were provided for through homestay except for 2 meals on the weekends. However, it was easy to find cheap meals if you did not fell like spending a lot. However, traveling on the weekends was my biggest cost which got a little pricier compared to the rest of South America. |

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Go out to the restaurant with your friends to be social and talk, but consider not eating anything there to save money or only get a drink or an appetizer. |
