Rome is expensive and the Euro was strong against the dollar. Money didn't last long, so I had to skip meals sometimes. |

IES was a good program and the teachers/administrators (some of the administrators, at least) were awesome and would always speak to me in Italian. But there were few, if any, fellow students who were at my level of language learning and that made it very frustrating at times, being surrounded by English. |

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? | Don't go to a program that doesn't offer multiple language options, isn't known for its language use, and don't get caught in the American Ghetto! |
