My experience abroad confirmed for me that I am capable of functioning independently and navigating a city on my own.

I had to find ways to become integrated with local culture on my own because the program did not necessarily provide ways to do so.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

The program staff was incredibly helpful and understanding, the city is beautiful and easy to navigate, and there the list of things to do is endless.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish I knew how difficult it would be to connect with other students from the program after orientation week. If I had known that there would not be many opportunities to meet people outside of my apartment I would have made more of an effort to meet a significant amount of people during the orientation activities
