Definitely worth while, but it made me appreciate the american school system so much more. TU definitely has a much better sense of community

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Great school, rigorous courses but do-able courses, help available if needed! Auckland Uni was a commuter school which did make it more difficult to meet locals |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
IFSA Butler is the BEST program to choose if going to New Zealand. All my friends wish they had been with my program! |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I loved flat life! If going to auckland, do NOT choose Unilodge- Parnell is the place to be! All the locals live there! Unilodge is 100% american. |
* Food: |
NZ is not known for their food... |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Lots of things to do, but can be hard to meet people as Auckland is a commuter uni. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
I got strep during, and getting treatment was super easy. Right on campus! |
* Safety: |
Super safe! |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|

The Academic or LinguistYou went abroad with specific academic goals in mind; the program credentials and rigor of your coursework abroad were very important to you. You had a great time abroad, but never lost sight of your studies and (if applicable) were diligent with your foreign language study. Good for you! |
