What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It has changed my whole outlook on my major, on my home university, on the whole country, and even the world. I feel completely different than how I was before, but in a good way.

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 2 weeks - 1 month

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The workload was all at once instead of spread out and then all at once as it is in the US, the classes only counting essays and exams as homework. It was a nice change to the busywork from US classes. The classes here are more about forming an opinion about the subject instead of simply memorizing it. I like the classes better here.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

It was hard communicating with them pre-departure when I was attempting to work out classes and such, but while abroad they are easy to contact and helpful.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

My room's really big, which is a welcome change, and I like having my own room.

* Food:

Eating out is expensive, buying is not that cheap but still cheap, London is just expennnsiive.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Went to Stonehenge, that was nice... I can't attend the next trip because they planned it on a Friday and it's impossible to miss my Friday class without getting punched, soo maybe they should not do that.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Don't wave around your money and you shouldn't get mugged.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? London is expensive. I made myself live on a tight budget of 15 pounds a week for groceries, and basically ate potatoes and pasta a lot.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? You spend about 100 Euro anytime you travel anywhere, not including travel costs. It's rather hard to avoid.

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
