What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Absolutely. Besides making new friends, it was interesting to see things from the British perspective. And I was able to do a lot of traveling.

Personal Information

The term and year this program took place: Spring 2008

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The work was pretty easy and I had a lot of free time.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The program was very well organized and the staff was great.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

It was suite style with each of us getting our own room in Beaumont Court and a separate kitchen. Our rooms were quite large and I enjoyed living with a mix of students (one American, two Brits, one Greek and one Pakistani). Also a plus that the dorm was on campus

The fire alarms went off all the time, but the rest was great.

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

It was a great time.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Even though my dorm location wasn't in the best area, there was plenty of secruity

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $100-200 a week
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Food is expensive
