What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was a great experience

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 0-2 weeks

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The courses were much easier than I expected. Classes were very large in general, and were taught in a very direct, formal style with little class involvement. Grades were mostly based on final exams and papers.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Very supportive, planned lots of trips and events for students

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Housing was provided in on-campus apartment-style dorms, which were very nice

* Food:

Lots of places to eat nearby, 20 minute walk to a large grocery store was ver convenient

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The trip to Wales was great! There were also a lot of day trips to other places near London, which was great.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

On campus was pretty safe, though the surrounding areas on side streets could possibly be dangerous at night by yourself. London itself was generally safe - I had no issues with safety at all

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Food: About 70 pounds per week, I cooked most of my own meals
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Groceries are really expensive! Public transportation was a bit expensive too.

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
