Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Although advertised to us as being easier than our home program, this program was not. However, it was no more difficult also. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
The host program offered a lot of services while in Italy. They were friendly and very helpful. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
|
* Food: |
Bought my own food. Very expensive, but still cheaper than eating out. For aperitivo, definitely go to Moyo (Next to Santa Croce) Best for the price. For gelato, try Grom and Santa Trinita. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I did not get out as much as I would have liked to due to school work loads, etc. Field trips arranged by the program were a definite must. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
Emergency services in Italy are free with the health insurance that the program requires. They are VERY good. My roommate had an emergency appendectimy, but her surgery was perfect and she had some of the best care. No vaccines were specifically required. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Direct Enrollment/Exchange
* Did you study abroad through an exchange program or did you directly enroll in the foreign university? | Direct Enrollment |
