About
Vouloir, c’est pouvoir*
IPSL’s French language program offers participants an opportunity to study language while exploring the beautiful cities of Aix-en-Provence, Annecy, Bordeaux, Lyon, Montpellier, or Toulouse France. The program is completely customizable, which means that YOU create a language program (with IPSL’s assistance) that perfectly suits your interests, needs, goals and budget. You can also create a program that includes more than one of these beautiful cities. Financial Aid is available for eligible students. IPSL also accepts AmeriCorps Segal Education awards. Each location offers amazing art, architecture, history, and food.
What better way to learn French than learn French surrounded by the beauty that France is known for?
IPSL's partner schools offer everything from beginner to advanced French language in small group classes or private sessions. They include weekly cultural activities allowing students to explore the region, meet ‘real French folk’ and practice what was learned in the classroom. Examples of activities include tasting the local cuisine and wine and visiting the beautiful surrounding towns. They also organize games and sport, literature activities, etc. and encourage their students to participate and interact using the newly learned French language skills. Some locations offer opportunities to Engage in Ethical Service Learning which will help you connect with communities, contribute meaningfully, and deepen your understanding of local cultures.
Benefits include:
• Affordable fee structures
• Pre-vetted language schools with the highest credentials available
• Flexible program lengths – from 1 week to 52 weeks (there may be a 4-week minimum for certain internships, preceptorships and volunteer opportunities)
• Flexible lodging options to fit your taste
• Great opportunity to make new business contacts and friends
• An official transcript and certification for your achieved level of proficiency
