More Than a Language Course — A True Italian Immersion
The world is your campus. Italy is your classroom.
Bologna. Siena. Two of Italy's most storied cities — and your home for a language immersion that goes way beyond conjugating verbs.
With IPSL, you don't just learn Italian. You live it — in the market, at the dinner table, in the community, and in some of the most beautiful streets on earth.
Learn the Language. Live the Culture. IPSL partners with esteemed language institutes in both Bologna and Siena, offering interactive, small-group instruction for every level — beginner to advanced. Real-world communication is the focus, because the best classroom is Italy itself.
Courses may also include:
- Travel Literature: The Italian Journey
- Art Appreciation: Siena to Florence
- Music Appreciation: Middle Ages to Today
- Lyric Opera from the XVII–XX Century
"I had the best teacher — so enthusiastic, and she never made us feel bad about our Italian skills. The staff was incredibly supportive, and the orientation covered everything from local culture to practical essentials like pharmacies, markets, and banks." — Max, Siena Italy, Fall 2025
Taste Italy While You Learn Food is culture here. Hands-on cooking classes, regional wine tastings, and daily life with a local host family make sure you're learning Italy from the inside out.
"It was a trip of a lifetime. My homestay mom was an incredible cook — she made rabbit, which I'd never had before. I ate with my family, cooked with them, developed a real relationship, and practiced my Italian every single day." — Barbara S., Bologna & Siena Italy, Fall 2025
Serve, Connect, Belong Volunteer with local nonprofits — practicing your Italian in real settings, building genuine relationships, and contributing something that matters. This is how you stop being a visitor and start belonging.
