About
안녕하세요 *
You don't just learn Korean here — you live it.
Seoul is one of the world's most electric cities. Study with award-winning, native-speaking instructors in the morning. Spend the afternoon navigating street food markets, figuring out the subway, and ordering coffee in imperfect but improving Korean. That's the immersion — and it works faster than any classroom alone.
Through IPSL Global Engagement at Westminster University, you'll choose your own schedule, group or private instruction, and how you want to live: with a local homestay family (dinner-table Korean is different from textbook Korean, and better) or in a traditional Goshiwon — your own compact Korean studio apartment, with a neighborhood to make yours.
All programs earn accredited academic credit. And our team handles the logistics from application to return, so you can focus on the part that matters.
Why Korean? Why now?
South Korea is a top-10 global economy and a major U.S. ally with deep reach in business, tech, and diplomacy. Korean speakers have a genuine edge — in international careers, in global partnerships, in understanding a culture that the rest of the world is already fascinated by. Hangul, the Korean alphabet, was scientifically designed and can be learned in days. You'll be reading signs your first week. And understanding K-dramas, films, and music in the language they were actually made in? That's a different experience entirely.
From beginner to advanced — this program is built around you.
