Global Graduate Programs for Changemakers


Earn your Master’s degree abroad while making a real-world impact. IPSL offers two innovative graduate programs—International Development & Service (IDS) and Community Organizing & Social Activism (COSA)—designed for globally minded students ready to lead with purpose.

These 16-month, four-term programs combine rigorous interdisciplinary study with hands-on service-learning in countries across Latin America, Africa, Asia, and Europe. You’ll gain the tools to lead in sectors like nonprofit management, global health, education, sustainability, human rights, and community development.

Choose between 2 models + flexible sequencing | 3 starts per year

  • 2 terms abroad and 2 terms online

  • 3 terms abroad and 1 term online


  • Study and serve in up to three countries

  • Perform 10–15 hours of volunteer service weekly

  • Customize your field placements to match your passions

  • Learn from global partners and grassroots organizations

  • Build a professional network that spans continents

  • Earn academic credit while studying abroad or as part of your current grad program

Since 1994, IPSL has prepared ethical, globally engaged leaders through a model rooted in reciprocity, service, and empowerment. Our grads go on to careers in government, international NGOs, education, social enterprises, and more. Financial aid available. IPSL proudly accepts AmeriCorps Segal Education Awards and offers a $5500 scholarship for AmeriCorps and Peace Corps alums.

IPSL Scholarships

IPSL's goal is to help all students go abroad. Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) and Americorps Education awards are accepted to go towards all programs. IPSL also offers Americorps, Peace Corps or military Alums a $5500 scholarship to be used on one of their Graduate/Masters programs.
