Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The workload at la Universidad de Balgrano is not that bad. Most of the class work consisted of a lot of reading and some writing assignments. The professors that I had all graded strictly, but it is easy if you complete the work. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
It takes a long time to get anything done through the administration, but it does get done. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
|
* Food: |
There some really good food in Argentina, but if you stay with a family it will most likely be pretty bland. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Argentina is awesome. So much culture and new things to experience |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
Safety is what you make it. There are a lot of burglaries and muggings, but not many are deathly. Use common sense! Health care is not too bad. It is slow, but it gets done and it is of good quality. ISA provides support if you need to go to a hospital. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Language
* Did your program have a foreign language component? | Yes |
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition? |
|
Language acquisition improvement? |
There was not much opportunity to practice with other Argentine students, but I had to use Spanish everyday. This of course helps improve your skills. |

A Look Back
* What did you like most about the program? |
|
* What could be improved? |
|
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | Choose this program if you are looking for a good company that provides support and facilitation for its students. If you don't need these things, then save your money and do it yourself. ISA is worth the money if you need help and support during your stay though. |
