Studying abroad made me realize what kind of place I would like to live in. It was great being in a city. I learned a lot of positives and negatives during my stay.

the workload was normal, deadlines were always given very ahead of time |

The housing could have been a lot better- a lot of people complained about being placed with families they did not like, or being placed far away from the downtown city area. The strengths of the program was that they were always there to answer questions or dobts and the provided really fun excursions. |

Everything was given to me, and i was treated with a lot of respect |

The city is very safe, of course there are areas where you should not be late at night, but the downtown area was secure. |

you could participate in a program called intercambio, where you would meet up with locals and they would help you practice spanish, while you helped them with english. It was also easy to talk to professors or the host family. You did need basic spanish for everyday interactions. But not everyone in the API program spoke Spanish, it was all American students |
