What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained a lot of knowledge about a culture that I did not know too much about. I also again a lot of knowledge on how to use public transportation systems along with learning navigational skills. Lastly, I learned so much about myself. I used to be a very shy, closed off person. I also used to suffer from really bad anxiety. This study abroad experience helped change that and helped me get rid of my anxiety and all of my other issues. I learned things about myself that I never knew that I had and I learned things about myself that I always had I just never knew that they were there and how to utilize them correctly or bring them out. Studying abroad was the most worthwhile thing that I could have ever done in my entire life. It was really, truly the best freaking experience of my entire life and it is the best decision hands down that I have ever made in my lifetime so far.

| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | I would make a budget list of what you are going to allow yourself to spend on all things like food and clothing. Also, create a budget outlining your entire amounts of money savings that you are going to be using (if you have this information available to you) and write down all of your expenses, including food and bills and factor in and out how much money you'll be spending on a certain bill or how much money that you can afford to spend on a certain item; such as food. |
