Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Overall, the class I was a student in- Celebrity, Society, and the Media- or Liberal Arts 413- was a fun and informational course. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
The two people who were the student advisors were available but busy most of the time. London, England's environment is a conducive one to getting things done and it promotes efficiency. My expectations were met. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Housing was set up through ISA at dormitories for both international students and travelers. The dormitories I was placed in were very close to London's Victoria Underground Tube Station-awesome! Also, the dorms were co-ed. The shower was broken in the dormitories and the internet did not work. Otherwise, the rooms were all right. |
* Food: |
We had to buy and provide all our own food. That was and is fine with me given my personality. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
The whole trip was memorable. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
London's overall safety was decent. I had an emergency and a severe right ear infection and almost lost my hearing in that ear. I had to find the emergency room on my own and this was interesting. I could barely walk the pain was so bad- yet there was not any person available to help me. That is a complaint. Even if the ear infection was my fault, there should have been someone available to help me find the e.r. when I needed help. It was during normal business hours in the daytime. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
