Due to the administration and leaders in the host country, I feel I would have had a better time in a different organization or in another location. I have studied abroad before and spent a lot of time abroad, so I feel my experience was purely due to the program in the CR.

The directors were unable to be contacted many times and were both out of town during an emergency situation. They were not able to address many of the concerns some of us had. Personally, when I confided in one of the leaders that I was having a difficult time feeling comfortable in the country, her only response was to get a "Czech boyfriend" and gave me a list of bars to go to. I felt this was inappropriate and did not help address the concerns I was having. |
