How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

My host family was AMAZING! Couldnt have asked for a better family, cooked meals, interaction with them...everything was provided for us! Neighborhood safety was good and to get to the store, church or night life was maximum 20 minute walk. Salamanca was a great place to be!

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Flamanco shows! A trip to Barcelona was awesome to see the works of Gaudi!

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

i did not have any issues of the sort, obviously be smart and dont leave your wallet and purse in plain view easy to take places

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Interacted with other students there from US, Germany, France etc, my host family and yes we had to speak Spanish, there were not opportunities to speak English

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? This is great for anyone really, Salamanca is not as busy as Madrid or Barcelona and you get more feel of the culture and you are immersed in it forcing you to embrace their culture and language!
