Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The workload, grading system, and the overall environment of the classroom made a day at class conducive to learning. I believed I learned a lot because of my surroundings. The main difference between Pontificia Universidad Madre y Maestra are the interactive classrooms and the accountability that a professor places on the student to strive for his/her best. The curriculum at Adrian College is rigorous. However, at times, since it is tough classroom can turn into a semester of lecturing instead of an interactive classroom setting. The teachers were very thorough. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
They were always very cordial and organized. At times, they wouldn't be punctual. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Not satisfied with my housing arrangement. They very judgmental people and complained about infinitismal things. However, that didn't impede on the great experience I had in this Study Abroad program. |
* Food: |
The food was good, repetitive, but good. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Still the Dominican Republic of today feels the burn that Trujillo left on society. Many times I was mistaken as a Hatian and looked down upon. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
I lived in a disclosed location where it was safe. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
No
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
