Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

There was more school work than I had expected. Sometimes it would truly interfere with my program excursions. The professors, however, were quite good.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

All the program admins were easily contactable at all times. There was always someone in the office to lend assistance. All were locals and had a good grasp on knowledge of the city.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

My host family was amazing! The neighborhood we lived in (Gran Plaza) was a very nice little neighborhood, but I wish i had been located a little closer to the city.. (had to take the train in). My roommate at the time (from california) was awesome and I still regularly contact him. My host family loved us very much and took the best care of us...better than i could have even expected!

* Food:

Amazingly delicious food!!!!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The excursions were awesome and like i said above, I found a local girlfriend. The whole experience was very, very memorable.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Sevilla seemed very safe. GO OUT AND EXPLORE!!

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? maybe 50 to 75 euro per week.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? I know it will be hard, but don't spend all your money on the cool european clothes!!

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? Beginner
What was the highest level language course you had completed prior to departure? Second year college spanish.
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?

Language acquisition improvement?

My host family, roommate, kids in the program, and the locals of course. Many people spoke english.
