Sevilla, I would marry you if I could. Past Review
By Peter S (International Business., University of Nebraska- Lincoln) for
ISA Study Abroad in Sevilla, Spain
It definitely changed my life and I came back home with so much more knowledge of the world. I also came back speaking another language! I still travel and look for ways to learn after finishing my program and graduating from college.

* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
I thought the classes were excellent and my Spanish improved so much. The teachers at the ISA school were really fantastic. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
My University was helpful in some ways regarding classes and preparation but usually promoted their own programs instead of others. |

* Food: |
|
* Social & Cultural Integration:

ISA did an excellent job when it came to extra activities. I loved the Monday soccer games and all of the included excursions. |
* Health Care:

|
* Safety: |
Any city in the world is going to have safety issues so living in Sevilla was no different than living in the city where I went to school. There is always the possiblity of getting your bag or camera stolen. Things happen and you just need to be prepared for those situations. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |

Language

If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition? |

Most people spoke English and would speak to you in English to clarify things. It basically depends on the student whether they want to speak more Spanish and challenge themselves or not. |

A Look Back
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | You won't spend a lot of money in the city but you will definitely want to travel a lot. Save money! Take advantage of any extra-curricular activity like language practice, dinners, etc. They are really fun and make your overall experience that much better. Have fun but try not to drink so much. I know, it's hard. Be careful with your things. Pack your bags, and then take out a third of the things you put in. You won't need them! |
