Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
grading system was different but easy to navigate, one teacher had high expectations and the Spanish history was very difficult but my other teacher was much more laid back. Regardless of difficult weekly tests, I rarely studied over an hour before class and passed with no problem. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
ISA was excellent on-site with friendly and helpful staff, a great orientation program the first few days and well-planned excursions. My expectations were exceeded. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I loved my host mother and enjoyed time spent with her telling stories at dinner and watching Spanish soap operas together. |

Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|

A Look Back
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | just know what you're getting yourself into. do your research. know every detail- the weather where you're going, the food they like to eat, how they usually cook, etc so that nothing surprises you. one of the girls in my group hated olive oil and Spaniards cook just about everything in olive oil. she complained the entire time about a lot of things because she didnt prepare herself. you cant leave the US expecting the rest of the world to be like the US. that's the beauty about traveling. the most important thing to pack is an open mind and youll have the best time of your life. |
