What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
YES. I had a great time and learned a lot about the culture of London and other countries I visited. It also made me grow up...I was the only sophomore and the only business student to go when I went, but I used it as an opportunity to make new friends and make the most of the experience.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I learned more outside the classroom than inside the classroom. Going on Bill's city walks were extremely informative and I felt like I learned a lot about the city and it's history!

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

I felt like they were very organized in planning trips and forward with anything we had to do as students.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Flat- (5 person) in central London right on the Central Line about a 2 minute walk away from Oxford Street

I loved living with American students but I loved that we were surrounded by Londoners

* Food:

I enjoyed trying new foods, but I found it difficult to cook for myself since I was only one person, but it was expensive to eat out.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I traveled all over the place and I just wish I had started traveling earlier in my trip so I could have gone to more places! During the week most of us were either working or had class, then sometimes we hung out in town, which was my favorite!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

They warned us about which parts of town were the most dangerous, and certain ways they try to trap tourists (ex. the fake ATM's- I only used ones attached to banks).

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 50 Pounds
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? I took a certain amount of money out each week and tried to use that cash until it was gone because if I used my card I just lost track of how much I had spent.

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
