What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Yes, yes, yes. You have to know how to pack light and pack well when taking a long trip to England or a short trip around Europe. I think that was one of the things that will serve me well throughout my life. Know the difference between what you NEED to bring and what you WANT to bring. You need less then you think you do.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Interrelationships was incredible, as was Stage Combat but Shakespeare class was a little below par.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

This is a great program for Theatre majors since there are so many courses you can take within your chosen discipline.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

4 person flat, 2 bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom... pretty basic.

Great place to live for a few months!

* Food:

Cheap pasta and veggies! and lots of sandwiches!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Great with helping to arrange trips to other countries, great with helping us go to Rugby and Football matches, and walks with Bill were always fun!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I felt fine the entire time I was there, no issues whatsoever.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Good question. Ummm. Probably about 100 pounds per week on food etc each week.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? GET A TESCO CARD AND BUY THIER PRE-PACKAGED MEALS. I loved them. REAL cheap and good.

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
Language acquisition improvement?

Since the UK is an English speaking country, my language skills weren't tested or improved on.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Don't be afraid to go where you really want to go, even if no one else wants to go there.

Individual Course Reviews

Course Name/Rating:

Shakespeare

Course Department:
Instructor: Chanda? I have no idea how to spell his name
Instruction Language: English
Comments: Professor was unable to separate himself from our papers when he didn't agree with our ideas. Class was not challenging enough for my tastes and I feel as though we didn't really learn that much about Shakespeare (other than read a few of his plays). The one redeeming factor was the fact that we could go out and see productions in the City of London.
