Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The workload was pretty light and I loved all of the field trips we got to take for class because it allowed us to see different parts of the city we normally would not have got to see.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Great accessibility and very knowledgeable about the country. Expectations were exceeded.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Very close to tube stops so school and night life were very accessible. We needed to buy a few things but not much. The neighborhood was not very nice and was a little scary at times to live in.

* Food:

Pret was the best place for a quick lunch!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Loved all the field trips for Victorian Art, Women in Britain, and Empire and Decolonization.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Health factors were not really an issue and for safety just make sure to be with someone at all times in the city, never go anywhere alone.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Budget well because the pound is so expensive.

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?

  • Do more school trips!
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? A student that is outgoing would love this program. You have to be very open to meeting people and seeing different places to get the full experience.
