Personal Information
| How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? | 1 month - 6 months |
Review Your Program
| * Overall educational experience Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. | Intense, but you learn a lot only in one month! |
| * Host Country Program Administration On-site administration of your program | Really cool, Google Style |
| * Housing: How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? | Didn't like to much the first hostel, the second was way much better but a six people room is too much. |
| * Food: | Really good, but I have been eating outside for 7 months now and I don't like it anymore. I miss home made food. |
| * Social & Cultural Integration: How integrated did you feel with the local culture? | I didnt put enough effort to fully integrate with locals. |
| * Health Care: How well were health issues addressed during the program? | I didn't have any health issue |
| * Safety: | I didn't felt safe at any time while I was by myself. The city is very nice but it seem to be very dangerous. |
| If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? | Yes It was an amazing summer where I was able to take a class, improve my skills, intern, meet new people, network and explore. |
Finances
| * Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget? (1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) | I have spent around $3,000 in the program |
| Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | about $250 |
| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Do excursions by yourself not Cape Xtreme. Don't think that it is cheap because you will start going to the expensive places and it will be as expensive as the US. |
Language
| * Did your program have a foreign language component? | No |
| How much did the program encourage you to use the language? 0 = No encouragement, 5 = frequent encouragement to use the language | I had to talk in English all day! |
| How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? | Fluent |
| How would you rate your language skills at the end of the program? | Fluent |
| What was the highest level language course you had completed prior to departure? | N/A |
