What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
There are so many different people and culture that I'm not familiar with. One thing that I learned from this program is that I have to accept them as they are. I can't judge them based on my knowledge or value.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Workload was a lot lighter than what I had in my home university. I enjoyed classes which covers Japanese culture.

They had years of experiences on dealing with international students. They know what students need and what they will go through. Therefore, they were very helpful in every way.

It was a safe neighborhood and was really close to school. My hostfamily truly treated me as a member of their family.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? for a month, I spent about 400 dollars.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? transportation fee is so expensive in Japan!

There was a program called speaking partner. This helped me with making many Japanese friends. I used Japanese everyday because I lived with host family.
