What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I think it's helpful to some extend. I think my language skills defintely improved, however, I don't think the cultural part improve as much as I expected. Especially the home-stay part. The family that I stayed with was not very Japanese but very Americanized which made me kind of disappointed.
