Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Combined with my professor's expertise and that of our guides, Eva Li and Laura Yang, I learned more than I could possibly imagine in such a short time. Request those two for an amazing experience. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Eva Li and Laura Yang spoke great English and were extremely helpful. They truly made the experience a trip of a lifetime and further motivated me to learn more of the world around me. I have nothing negative to say about my experience. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
The Ibis hotel in Beijing and Pentahotel in Hong Kong were great. We didn't send much time there (which I liked), but when we did, they were comfortable and spacious enough. |
* Food: |
Eva and Laura did a great job of showing us an amazing range of Chinese cuisine and were wonderful company. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I had many questions and both Eva and Laura did a great job of explaining how Chinese culture works and how it is different from American culture. They really are incredibly worldly and wonderful people. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
I, personally, didn't have any health issues, but if I didn't I felt very comfortable in the knowledge I would receive prompt healthcare. |
* Safety: |
I have never felt so safe in an international country. I loved every minute. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
Combined with the relatively low prices and favorable exchange rate, I found China extremely affordable. |
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | $300 USD |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Commit to a set amount each month to set aside for the sole purpose of studying abroad; otherwise you may never. |
