Because Geneva is an international city containing many intergovernmental and nongovernmental organizations, a majority of the people spoke English quite fluently. The primary language of the area was French, however, so being able to read it turned out to be a tremendous help in getting around the city, shopping, ect. The program also provides several French language courses taught by Swiss nationals in order to enhance your abilities. These courses are tailored to fit a variety of language experiences. |

A Look Back
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | Do extensive price research before selecting this program. Geneva is one of the most expensive cities in the world. If you can handle the extreme change in price, budget beforehand so you don't end up spending tons of money very quickly. Aside from the cost, you should take advantage of the unique internship opportunity. Students are able to work in major international organizations like the United Nations, the World Health Organization or the World Trade Organization. |
