Apricots. Past Review
By Elijah Nicholson-Messmer (Berea College) - abroad from 05/23/2019 to 09/22/2019 with
KIIS: Bregenz - Experience Bregenz (Summer)
I've learned from traveling abroad of the immense potential of growth that exposure to foreign environments offers on every level of one’s personality. My time traveling domestically and abroad has helped shape me into the sort of determined, inquisitive, and empathetic person that I have become. Rarely, with such experiences, are the personal and professional benefits immediately evident. But with the benefit of hindsight, it becomes clear to me how central my experiences traveling are to my personal life and my professional development. Whether I’m working on a class assignment or helping lead my staff at the school newspaper, I can look back to my travels and know that it is there that I learned the too-often underappreciated skills that have come to shape and define my life for the better.

You had a great time abroad, but never lost sight of your studies and (if applicable) were diligent with your foreign language study. Good for you! |
